Excitement levels high!

The release date of Jarod Black Guilty Party looks to have been set on Amazon, at least on the US site, for Wednesday 27th May. That’s in two days time. After an eight month incubation since it was submitted to Fair Play Publishing, overcoming a difficult period with bush fires, the demise of a key distributor and in the face of a global pandemic, the third novel in the Jarrod Black series is set to take the stage. Fair Play Publishing already has the book for sale here if you would like to get one of the first copies. And I’ve seen the back cover of the book for the first time today, so I’m sharing it with you.

Thanks to our friends at nufc.com, there has been an increase in interest in Unashamed Football Novels. Traffic on this site is up 500% and there have been a few book sales on the back of it. Oddly enough, as an author, there is no way of tracking book sales, but you can get a feel for it by the comments and feedback from new readers. Sales are reported on an annual basis, so we won’t have any meaningful data until the end of the calendar year. If you’ve bought one, I salute you. The fourth book in the Jarrod Black series is now underway as a result of feedback from readers – the easing of lockdown and the plans for return to sport means that I’ve got to make the most of this bonus time to get ahead in the writing process.

Where will Jarrod end up next? Find out soon. Contact me on Twitter at @SmithTexi and look me up on Goodreads too – I’ve only been toying with Goodreads so far, but I’ll be updating that soon.
